Job summary

Aztec Shops Ltd. at SDSU University Towers is seeking a Part Time Kitchen Food Service Associate to assist with daily food preparation and customer service. You will handle transactions, restock items, and help maintain a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork and the ability to follow recipes and sanitation standards. A Food Handler certificate is preferred and English reading/writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED.
• Food Handler certificate from the County of San Diego is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Process cash, credit card, and meal card transactions.
• Assist with stocking/restocking of inventory and replenishment of food items.
• Provide quality customer service while ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
• Use interpersonal skills to build customer confidence.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers and peers.
• Observe all safety and Company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
• Prepare products as assigned by production records.
• Follow approved recipes and standards for consistency and accuracy of products.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the workstation at all times.
• Follow all sanitation guidelines ensuring fresh, wholesome products.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist with accepting deliveries and stores raw food products according to established standards.
• May assist in the cleaning of equipment, tools, or pans.
