Job summary

The GIANT Company is hiring for a store/bakery position in Eldersburg, MD. You will prepare for duties, frost and decorate cakes, take and organize orders, and ensure strict food safety and sanitation throughout your shift.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and complete a 60-day probation. physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Prior experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate to complete job duties and follow policies.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
• Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely and meet performance standards including attendance.
• Must wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift and prepare supplies and PPE.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, make cones, load cones, frost cakes, and decorate cakes.
• Take orders, complete orders, and store orders in bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation habits.
