Job summary

The GIANT Company in Altoona, PA is seeking a bakery team member to support daily bakery operations, including cake decoration, order fulfillment, and sanitation. You will help prepare for duties at the start of each shift and ensure food safety throughout all tasks.

Shift hours are a minimum of 4 hours with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable attendance and adherence to PPE and company policies are required. Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must read, write, and communicate effectively to perform duties.
• Probationary period of 60 days.
• Must meet physical requirements and operate bakery equipment.
• Must meet attendance standards.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and prepare for duties at the start of the shift.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, make cones, load cones, frost cakes, and decorate cakes.
• Take orders, complete orders, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation habits.
