Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a bakery team member in Williamsport, PA to prepare and decorate cakes, take orders, and maintain food safety standards. You will review the shift schedule, stock supplies, and ensure sanitation across all work areas.

Ideal candidates have strong reading and communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work a 4+ hour shift with physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in order to complete job duties and comply with policies.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift and prepare the required equipment and PPE.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, make cones, load cones, frost cakes and decorate cakes.
• Take orders, complete orders, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation work habits.
