Computer Systems Institute Inc. in Skokie, IL is seeking a part-time Adjunct Instructor for the Business Fundamentals Program.

The role involves teaching the Business Fundamentals concentration courses, preparing lesson plans, and delivering lectures with Project-Based Learning to help students acquire practical business skills. The instructor will assess student progress, maintain records for SAP, and participate in faculty development activities, field outings, and program enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration or related field; candidates with at least two years of related work experience or evidence of specialized training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 27.5 hours per week.
• Prepare lesson plans for each class session.
• Deliver lectures and facilitate Project-Based Learning (PBL) on various business related topics.
• Assist students in the learning process.
• Evaluate and monitor student progress using various assessment tools.
• Keep necessary records to report SAP to the Academic Dean/Program Manager.
• Attend and participate in quarterly campus-wide instructor in-service meetings.
• Stay informed with advancements in teaching by attending professional development activities outside of CSI.
• Organize and lead field outings for student enrichment once per module.
• Contribute to program improvement through committee involvement.
• Provide support through academic advising to ensure student growth and retention.
• Additional tasks as needed.
