Job summary

Computer Systems Institute, Inc. is seeking an Part-Time Instructor for the Web Application Development Program. The role involves teaching core courses and delivering curriculum with a focus on project-based learning.

You will prepare lesson plans, deliver lectures, supervise student progress, and report SAP to the Academic Dean. A BS or higher in a related field and 5+ years of industry experience are preferred. This position features a flexible schedule and on-site campus duties.

Qualifications

• Five years or more of industry experience preferred.
• Three years of Python and Django experience.
• Three years of SQL/database administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, web development, or related field.
• Familiarity with cyber security basics.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 27.5 hours per week to students.
• Prepare lesson plans for each class session.
• Deliver lectures and facilitate project-based learning.
• Assess student progress using various tools.
• Maintain records for SAP reporting to the Academic Dean.
• Attend quarterly instructor in-service meetings and stay updated with teaching advancements.
• Organize field outings for student enrichment each module.
• Contribute to program improvement through committee involvement.
• Provide academic advising to support student growth and retention.
