Job summary

The Computer Systems Institute Inc in Chicago, IL seeks an adjunct instructor for the Hospitality Leadership program. The instructor will teach courses such as Fundamentals of Hospitality Leadership, Hospitality Management Strategy, and Managing Guest Experience, using approved curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in hospitality or a related field
• If the degree is not in hospitality or a directly related field, candidates with at least two years of related work experience or evidence of specialized training related to the field and industry may be considered

Responsibilities

• Teach the listed Hospitality courses: Fundamentals of Hospitality Leadership, Hospitality Management Strategy, Hospitality Business Training and Development, Managing Guest Experience
• Plan and deliver in-class instruction with approved curriculum
• Prepare lesson plans for each class session
• Deliver lectures and facilitate project-based learning (PBL) on various hospitality topics
• Assist students in the learning process
• Evaluate and monitor student progress using various assessment tools
• Report SAP to the Academic Dean/Program Manager
• Attend quarterly campus-wide instructor in-service meetings
• Stay informed with teaching advancements through professional development
• Organize and lead field outings for student enrichment
• Contribute to program improvement through committee involvement
• Provide academic advising to support student growth and retention
• Perform additional tasks as needed

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in hospitality or related field

Two years of related work experience or evidence of specialized training
