Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time music program coordinator to work with children and adults, planning and teaching a curriculum in theory, performance, and values. You will lead corps music programs, supervise recitals, and help organize community performances.

Ideal candidates have a music degree or equivalent teaching experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work in a team while supporting the mission of The Salvation Army.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music preferred, or extensive experience teaching music.
• Minimum two years’ music experience with children/adults.
• Performance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement weekly music classes with a formal curriculum.
• Lead music programs within the corps and community, including recitals.
• Encourage skill development, self-esteem, and positive engagement in music.
• Organize performances and community events to promote the corps' mission.
• Support summer camps and divisional music camps, and coordinate participation.
