Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time music program facilitator to work with children and adults in corps and community settings. You will plan and implement a comprehensive music curriculum, lead performances, and help organize community events.

The role emphasizes teaching theory, performance, and values while supporting the corps mission. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in music (or substantial teaching experience) and at least two years of music work with diverse groups;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music preferred or extensive experience teaching music.
• Minimum of two years’ music experience working with children/adults; performance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead music and other arts programs; plan weekly music lessons and implement the curriculum.
• Plan and attend recitals; prepare corps music programs to participate in year-end concert.
• Encourage participants to develop goals and self-esteem through music.
• Help organize performances and community activities to promote The Salvation Army's mission.
• Encourage attendance at summer camps; assist with camper participation in divisional music camps and day camps.
• All other duties as assigned.
