Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time corps music program coordinator to plan and implement music instruction for children and adults. You will lead music lessons, prepare weekly curricula, and collaborate with corps leadership for recitals and concerts.

You will encourage participants, develop musical skills, and contribute to community activities that promote the mission. This role involves light travel and occasional events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music preferred, or extensive experience teaching music.
• A minimum of two years’ music experience working with children/adults. Performance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead music and arts programs as assigned within the corps.
• Plan and implement weekly music lesson curriculums.
• Attend corps recitals and help prepare programs for end-of-year concert.
• Encourage skill development and self-esteem through music activities.
• Organize performances and community activities to promote the mission.
• Support summer camps and music-related events as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
