Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Music Program Leader to work with children and adults in corps and community settings. You will plan and implement music curriculum, lead performances, and help organize recitals with corps leadership.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in music or substantial teaching experience, plus at least two years’ music involvement with diverse ages. This is a part-time role focused on developing talent and sharing the mission through music.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music or extensive teaching experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead music and arts programs as assigned and plan weekly lesson curriculums.
• Organize recitals with corps leadership and prepare corps music programs for end-of-year concert.
• Encourage participants to develop musical talents and self-esteem through structured activities.
• Support community engagement and promote the corps' mission through performances.
• Coordinate participation in summer camps and divisional music camps.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
