Job summary

Positive Development seeks a Bilingual Early Intervention Specialist to support children Birth to 3 in Ventura County. The role involves direct clinical work, home visits, and serving as the main case manager after training, under supervision of the Early Birds leadership. Flexibility in schedule is required, with travel across Ventura and nearby areas.

You will deliver services in Spanish when needed, participate in supervision, and contribute to assessments and documentation for each case.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with 0-3 and infants/toddlers with developmental delays desirable.
• Ability to independently organize and manage a varied daily workload including travel.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in home-based service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out home sessions using EI principles tailored to the child under supervision.
• Provide services in Spanish when preferred by child or family.
• Train in and carry out evaluations for Early Birds including the DAY-C.
• Write assessments and clinical notes for the children seen.
• Attend EI supervision meetings and contribute to case discussions.
• Coordinate scheduling with families and logistics for sessions.
• Act as contact person for the Tri-Counties Regional Center service coordinator.
