Job summary

Nexplore is seeking a part-time Instructor to deliver in-person STEM, Digital Tech, Art, Life Skills and/or Fitness instruction to PreK-12 groups at our Washington, DC site. You will be supported with training, lesson plans, curriculum, and materials, reporting to a Program Success Manager.

The role emphasizes consistent scheduling, strong communication, and engaging, standard-aligned teaching across 80+ programs. AAA credential and reliable transportation are valued.

Qualifications

• AA Degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 2+ years teaching/instructing experience preferred.
• Experience working with children.
• Educational development or training experience.
• Teaching degree or certificate is a plus.
• Must commit to the full proposed schedule.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willing to complete mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Follow provided schedule, arrive on time and prepared to teach, review lesson plans and materials.
• Deliver standard-aligned instruction across STEM, Digital Tech, Art, Life Skills, and Fitness programs.
• Engage in professional, responsive communication with the Program Success Manager and site personnel.
• Deliver inspiring instruction from Nexplore’s program collection and provide accommodations as needed.
• Participate in family engagement efforts and support student access to programs.
