Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who will deliver LifeWise classes using provided lesson plans and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment. The role requires active church participation and clear communication with teachers and volunteers.

Training will be completed prior to teaching, and you will uphold LifeWise policies and disciplinary guidelines. The position is hourly and non-exempt, designed for as-needed coverage within the LifeWise program.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church with aligned doctrine.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis, using provided curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom per LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador within the community and communicate plans with volunteers.
• Coordinate with the teacher and assign duties as needed.
