Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks substitute teachers who are mature Christians, actively involved in a local church, and who demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills in the classroom.

The part-time, hourly role involves delivering LifeWise lessons, following provided curriculum, maintaining a safe, organized classroom, taking attendance, coordinating with the teacher and volunteers, and representing LifeWise in the community.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis, implementing the provided curriculum
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance and provide records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as an LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
