Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who demonstrate a mature Christian faith and active church participation. The role requires delivering LifeWise classes, implementing curriculum, and maintaining a safe, engaging classroom environment in accordance with LifeWise policies.

Responsibilities include completing substitute training, attending to attendance records, and communicating with volunteers and teachers.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
