Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking motivated substitute teachers to join our ministry of Biblical education. This part-time, non-exempt role requires a heart for youth, strong communication, and reliable classroom presence.

You will complete substitute teacher training, teach LifeWise classes as needed, implement provided lesson plans, maintain an orderly and safe classroom, record attendance, and communicate with the lead teacher and volunteers. A local church connection is valued.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the What We Believe section of LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain Records: Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain Classroom: Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; Know procedures for emergency situations
• Communicate: Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties; Communicate with the teacher
