Job summary

Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is seeking a Part-Time Lead to help manage the Lollicup operation on campus. You will lead staff during shifts, assign daily tasks, train on beverage preparation, and ensure strict adherence to recipes, quality, and sanitation standards.

You will also oversee inventory, labeling, store cleanliness, and customer service while supporting management with onboarding and special projects. Flexible evenings/weekends required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of job-related experience in food/beverage service is required.
• Must have a current Food Handler certification or be able to obtain it.
• Demonstrated leadership and the ability to direct employees.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to learn and follow standardized beverage recipes and procedures.
• Able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Organized with the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Previous Lollicup, bubble tea, or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Lollicup employees during assigned shifts.
• Assign daily tasks and oversee opening, service, and closing responsibilities.
• Train and coach employees on beverages, recipes, customer service, and food safety.
• Ensure beverages and products are prepared to standardized recipes and portions.
• Monitor product quality and consistency.
• Maintain clean, properly set up workstations for service.
• Monitor supplies and assist with inventory counts and ordering.
• Label, date, rotate, and store products correctly.
• Oversee cleanliness and sanitation of counters and equipment.
• Ensure opening/closing procedures are completed correctly.
• Support cash handling and register operations as needed.
• Assist with training and onboarding new employees.
• Maintain daily cleaning schedules and checklists.
• Communicate shortages or issues to management.
• Serve as a point of contact for staff during shifts.
• Contribute to operational projects and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a positive, professional, team-oriented work environment.
