Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with KDE certification for the assigned position.
• Proven ability to work effectively with students who struggle academically due to behavior.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding students that struggle academically due to behavior.
• Meets requirements for a criminal records check.
• Meets health requirements as specified in district personnel policy.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality instruction to individual students and small groups.
• Implements Behavior Intervention Plan.
• Utilizes behavior strategies defined in the Behavior Intervention Plan.
• Appropriately manages student behavior and guides students toward more acceptable social behaviors.
• Participates in IEP meetings as appropriate.
• Collaborates with teachers, administration, and families to identify best practices for individual and small groups.

Education
