Job summary

Butterfly Effects is seeking a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for in-home services, weekdays 3–7pm. This part-time role offers 12–20 hours per week and focuses on ABA-based interventions to help children with autism develop communication, social, and self-care skills.

You will work with families under supervision of a BCBA, perform data collection, maintain confidentiality, and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.
• Passion for Children: A genuine love for working with children.
• Positive Attitude: Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
• Experience: Prior experience with children is advantageous.
• Continuous Learning: Interest in ongoing development.
• Transportation: Valid driver's license & personal vehicle.
• Devices: Must have a Tablet or Laptop computer to use during sessions (not just a smart phone).

Responsibilities

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA.
• Observes, records, and reports on client's progress and behavior daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Apply behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assists clients to acquire academic and life skills as needed.
• Communicates professionally with parents, analysts, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection in our online database.
• Participates in ongoing training programs to increase skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows Butterfly Effects policies and procedures.
