Job summary

The Cannery Pier Hotel and Spa in Astoria, OR, is seeking a guest-focused Bartender for Bar 600. This part-time role offers $17/hour plus an 80% tip share, with shifts 3–4 nights weekly including weekends.

You’ll craft cocktails, deliver attentive service, and thrive in a collaborative team in a riverside luxury setting. Must be able to work 3:30 PM–9:30 PM or 3:30 PM–10:30 PM shifts, with OLCC permit and Food Handler’s Card required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bartender preferred.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail recipes.
• Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented, punctual, and team-minded.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand for long periods and navigate a fast-paced environment.
• Valid OLCC Alcohol Service Permit.
• Current Food Handler’s Card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fast, friendly, and professional bar service to guests
• Prepare and serve cocktails and beverages to spec—classic and custom
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked bar environment
• Engage with guests to ensure a memorable experience
• Follow all health, safety, and liquor compliance standards
• Complete opening, running, and closing side work
• Accurately handle transactions and maintain cash drawer integrity
