Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is hiring part-time Banquet Servers for Three Leaf Catering and the Morris Inn in our campus Hospitality department. You will assist with setup and teardown, serve food and beverages, and handle guest requests following the Morris Inn service standards.

Key duties include ensuring food safety, following written specs, and maintaining a clean work area while supporting event operations across campus.

Qualifications

• Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time).
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare table service for functions as per direction of the Banquet Captain or Lead Banquet Server
• Follow written specifications provided by the events department
• Participate in equipment removal following meal service
• Professionally serve banquet functions; serving food, pouring beverages, and handling special requests of guests in accordance with the Morris Inn methods and service standard
• Follow established guidelines for the safe handling of food
• Assist with coffee break service at the Notre Dame Conference Center
• Keep the work area and equipment clean and in good working condition
