Job summary

The University of Notre Dame is seeking a part-time Banquet Server to support the Morris Inn and Three Leaf Catering within the campus Hospitality department. You will assist with setup, service, and guest requests, contributing to the seamless execution of banquets and events.

The role emphasizes food safety, customer service, and teamwork in a high-paced environment. This position offers hourly pay with gratuity at the Notre Dame campus.

Qualifications

• Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time).
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare table service for functions as per direction of the Banquet Captain or Lead Banquet Server.
• Follow written specifications provided by the events department.
• Participate in equipment removal following meal service.
• Professionally serve banquet functions; serving food, pouring beverages, and handling special requests of guests in accordance with the Morris Inn methods and service standard.
• Follow established guidelines for the safe handling of food.
• Assist with coffee break service at the Notre Dame Conference Center.
• Keep the work area and equipment clean and in good working condition.
