Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate at the Lakewood, NJ branch. The role focuses on B2B sales, building relationships, and delivering consultative inventory management solutions.

You will engage with customers, develop partnerships, and coordinate resources to meet service needs while working up to 28 hours per week in a position that may require local travel using a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• Valid driver's license and ability to use a company vehicle as needed
• Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field OR customer service/industry work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proficient computer skills
• Sales-driven and self-motivated
• Strong math, organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Core values: ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift/carry up to 75 lbs as required
• Pass drug screen where applicable

Responsibilities

• Support B2B sales and customer service activities
• Provide value through a consultative sales approach
• Develop new and grow existing relationships from leads and referrals
• Coordinate resources to respond to customer service needs
• Perform local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success
