Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate for our INLAF Public Store at 4101 US Hwy 52 S, Lafayette, IN 47905. This role offers up to 28 hours per week with flexible shifts from Monday to Friday and potential driving to customer sites.

You will engage in consultative selling of inventory management solutions and support branch operations. Qualified candidates will have strong communication, customer service, and computer skills, with a background in Business or related field.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to develop new partnerships and grow existing relationships.
• Proficient computer skills and strong math aptitude.
• Self-directed, highly motivated, and customer-service oriented.
• Lift and move 25–50 lbs; may weigh up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support B2B sales and customer service activities.
• Provide value through a consultative sales approach.
• Develop new and grow existing customer relationships from leads and referrals.
• Coordinate resources to respond to customer service needs.
• Conduct local sales calls and travel to customer sites with a company vehicle.
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success.
