Alternatives, Inc. in Jackson, NJ is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to support adults with developmental disabilities in a residential group home. You will assist with daily living activities, medication administration, meals, and transportation to appointments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen.
• Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening.
• Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with developmental disabilities with activities of daily living.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Prepare meals and assist with personal hygiene.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments and community outings.
• Support in implementing individual behavioral plans and documenting progress.
