Job summary

Alternatives, Inc. in Jackson, NJ seeks a full-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to help adults with developmental disabilities live with dignity and independence. You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications, prepare meals, transport to appointments, and support behavioral plans in a residential group home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen.
• Clear TB screening; ability to pass required trainings (CPR/First Aid, medication administration, positive behavioral support).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including medication administration.
• Prepare meals and assist with personal hygiene.
• Provide safe transportation to medical appointments.
• Implement and support individual behavioral plans.
• Encourage community participation and document health concerns.
