Job summary

The TRIGO Group is seeking a Quality Resident Engineer / Automotive Liaison for our Fort Wayne, IN operation. This part-time role (approximately 15 hours per week) focuses on preventing customer claims through preventive and corrective actions and maintaining open communication with customers and OEMs.

You will support new builds, launches, testing, and engineering changes while staying current on automotive quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of process control and quality systems.
• Ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Experience with process and product audits.
• Shipping/receiving knowledge in manufacturing.
• Ability to lead teams and give direction.
• Understanding of automotive quality standards.
• Ability to work with customers and OEMs.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with customers at the plant.
• Represent TRIGO professionally and build customer trust.
• Keep communication open between the customer and OEM.
• Suggest ways to improve quality and processes.
• Identify and solve problems before they escalate.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the customer team.
• Support new builds, product launches, testing, and engineering changes.
• Coordinate sorting and repair work as approved by the customer.
• Report to the TRIGO Country Resident Manager and assigned customer contacts.
• Attend customer meetings as needed.
