Job summary

Santa Rosa Junior College is accepting applications to establish a pool for associate faculty assignments. Associate appointments may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call, with a maximum of 67% of a full-time annual load.

Starting hourly rate is set by HR and based on experience; employment is compensated per class and paid over the assignment duration. Qualifications include a Master’s in kinesiology or related field or a Bachelor’s with a Master’s in a related life science.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in kinesiology or related field; or a Bachelor's plus a Master’s in a life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration or physical therapy; or equivalent.
• Sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds in community college settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent instruction and faculty support to students, including evening, weekend, online or hybrid assignments.
• Provide academic assistance during scheduled office hours.
• Demonstrate currency in fields of expertise and contribute to student success.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism.

Education

Master’s degree in kinesiology or related field

Bachelor’s degree + Master’s in life science or related field
