Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with children in childcare, school, or educational settings preferred.
• Basic understanding of child development across Infant to School-Age.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, flexible and positive attitude with age-group adaptability.
• Commitment to a safe, nurturing environment for children.
• Current First Aid and CPR (Infant & Child) or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, supportive care and supervision to children across age groups.
• Assist Lead Teachers with activities, learning centers, and developmental tasks.
• Support daily routines including meals, snacks, transitions and outdoor play.
• Prepare and organize materials, centers, and classroom spaces.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming classroom environment per sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with behavior guidance and positive redirection under Lead Teacher direction.
• Monitor and report children’s well-being and changes in mood or health.
• Communicate effectively with Lead Teachers and families as needed.
• Follow health, safety, and KOEC licensing requirements.
