Job summary

Bright Minds Academy in Topeka, KS is seeking a dedicated Pre-K Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering engaging curriculum for 4-5-year-olds. You will help supervise activities, facilitate group learning, and provide individualized support to emerging learners on a full-time basis.

The role emphasizes collaboration, classroom organization, and clear communication with families. A high school diploma and a willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR are required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with preschool-age children preferred.
• Knowledge of preschool development and academic readiness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patience, flexibility, and positive attitude.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in planning and implementing engaging curriculum activities.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, group time, and outdoor play.
• Support transitions between activities and facilitate smooth classroom routines.
• Prepare materials, set up learning centers, and maintain organized classroom spaces.
• Provide individualized support to children with varying learning needs.
• Observe and report on children's academic and social-emotional progress.
• Foster positive peer relationships and social skills development.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Communicate with Lead Teacher and parents about children's learning and progress.
