Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, supportive care and supervision to children across age groups.
  • Assist Lead Teachers with activities, learning centers, and developmental tasks.
  • Support daily routines including meals, snacks, transitions and outdoor play.
  • Prepare and organize materials, centers, and classroom spaces.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming classroom environment per sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist with behavior guidance and positive redirection under Lead Teacher direction.
  • Monitor and report children’s well-being and changes in mood or health.
  • Communicate effectively with Lead Teachers and families as needed.
  • Follow health, safety, and KOEC licensing requirements.

Summary

We are seeking flexible, enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to support our classrooms across all age groups (Infant through School-Age). This part-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multi-age environment and contribute to our mission of providing high-quality care and education. You will work alongside our Lead Teachers, support classroom activities and routines, and help create a safe, nurturing space for all our learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive, supportive care and supervision to children across various age groups
  • Assist Lead Teachers with classroom activities, learning centers, and developmental activities appropriate to each age level
  • Support daily routines including meals, snack, transitions, and outdoor play while maintaining safety
  • Prepare and organize materials, learning centers, and classroom spaces
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment following all sanitation protocols
  • Assist with behavior guidance and positive redirection under Lead Teacher direction
  • Monitor and report on children's well-being, mood, and any changes in behavior or health
  • Communicate effectively with Lead Teachers and support parent communication
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and KOEC licensing requirements
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of different age groups and classroom environments
  • Support classroom operations and assist with special projects or activities as needed
