Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train store associates.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a full-time, on-site position in Panama City Beach, FL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment with exceptional customer service.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
