Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Panama City, Florida. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise flow, and help supervise and train Store Associates while ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, processing directives, maintaining displays, and safeguarding assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand/walk frequently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow them.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness across the store including bathrooms and floors; take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
