Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Panama City Beach location. You will assist with day-to-day store functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and aid in opening and closing procedures.

The role emphasizes leadership of store associates, adherence to policies, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked sales floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform repetitive lifting and walking.
• Strong communication and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; supervise and train store associates.
• Ensure a safe, friendly environment and professional customer interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock facilities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
