Job summary

Family Dollar in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver strong customer service, and develop team members. You will supervise associates, assist with merchandising, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Ideal candidates have retail leadership experience, excellent communication and organization skills, and the physical ability to perform tasks such as stocking and lifting up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong written, interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Team-oriented with excellent customer service.
• Ability to train and develop store associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize merchandise flow from delivery to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and maintain store compliance.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates.
