Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Hayward, Wisconsin. The role involves assisting with daily store activities, merchandising, cash handling, and supervising store associates.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a proven track record in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits).
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
