Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Wisconsin is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train Store Associates.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, customer service, and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and maintain store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation
• Other duties as assigned
