Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in Texas.

You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and supervise associates. The role requires strong communication and teamwork, and a friendly, professional attitude.

This part-time position offers opportunities to lead, ensure safety, and maintain store standards while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling/cash handling
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure assets
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff compliance
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training and developing associates
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
