Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Houston to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandise movement, openings/closings, and adherence to company policies.

The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, well-organized store, ensuring safety, and training Store Associates while upholding excellent customer service and loss-prevention practices in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits, and support loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect store assets and follow company policies and safety guidelines.
• Train and develop Store Associates and supervise as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
