Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Anthony, TX.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, and daily tasks while ensuring policy compliance and a positive work environment. The role focuses on leadership, training Store Associates, and maintaining a well-organized store with clean and safe conditions for customers and employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and must be able to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and train/store associates.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, trash removal.
