Job summary

Dollar Tree in Los Angeles seeks an Assistant Store Manager to assist with store operations, customer service and team development. You will supervise, train, and develop Store Associates while ensuring a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.

You will manage daily tasks, merchandise flow, and promotions, while upholding company policies and loss-prevention practices in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment with customer focus.
• Excellent customer service, organization and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support adherence to directives and maintain promotional displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and orderly stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets including cash; ensure security procedures are followed.
• Help supervise, train and develop Store Associates; foster a positive work environment.
