Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in Holiday, Florida. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure promotional displays meet company standards.

In this role you will help supervise and train store associates, perform opening and closing duties, handle inventory and cash processes, and uphold safety and loss-prevention practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets, including store cash and safety compliance.
• Help supervise, train and develop store associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment for customers and staff.
