Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise flow from delivery to floor.

The role includes opening/closing, processing directives, maintaining displays, and supporting payroll, scheduling and loss prevention. A high school diploma and retail experience are preferred; lifting up to 55 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret directives.
• Retail/ grocery/ drug store store management experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, maintain displays, and assist with store communications.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure assets including cash.
• Ensure policy compliance and safety guidelines; support Store Manager and train associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
