Job summary

SecureSpace Management is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Store Manager at our Lanham, MD location to support the Store Manager and team in driving rentals, customer service, and smooth store operations.

You will guide new customers through the rental process, help manage accounts, perform light maintenance, and assist with scheduling, inspections, and occasional travel to nearby stores. Weekend and holiday availability required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in storage, retail, or hospitality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong use of the English language in verbal and written communication.
• Provides consistent support to the Store Manager and acts as a backup.
• Skilled in resolving conflicts and addressing issues.

Responsibilities

• Supports team in surpassing sales targets by promoting unit rentals and moving supplies.
• Guides new customers through the rental process for smooth transactions.
• Assists in contacting potential clients and coordinating moving dates.
• Manages past-due tenant accounts and lien/auction paperwork.
• Delivers exceptional customer service and addresses customer needs.
• Performs daily property inspections to maintain security and upkeep.
• Performs light gardening and general maintenance; uses power tools.
• Communicates updates and recommendations to the Store Manager and Leadership Team.
• Willing to travel to nearby locations for scheduled shifts.
