Job summary

Dollar Tree in Spindale, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise transfers, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. This role emphasizes leadership, communication, and hands-on coaching of Store Associates to meet company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, damaged merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect company assets, including store cash, and enforce policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment and professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms and floors; take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
