Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, support customer service, and develop team members in Hampstead, NC.

You will assist with opening/closing, organize merchandise, supervise associates, and ensure adherence to company policies while maintaining a safe, friendly shopping environment. This part-time role offers opportunities for growth within a nationwide retail network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain fixtures and displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed by all associates.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
