Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop a cohesive team in Winston-Salem, NC. You will assist with opening and closing procedures, organize merchandise flow from truck to floor, and support loss prevention and accurate record-keeping.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and delivering a friendly shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or related environment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in merchandise organization and flow from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store frontage fixtures for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping including payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat appearance.
• Other duties as assigned.
