Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Belpre, Ohio location. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train Store Associates in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to safety and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, bending, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store aesthetics.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits).
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect company assets, including store cash, and adhere to safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness, restocking bathrooms, sweeping/mopping floors, taking out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
