Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train Store Associates under the Store Manager’s guidance. Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, payroll/scheduling, and safeguarding store assets while ensuring a clean, welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Strong customer service and organizational abilities.
• Problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits and receipts.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Support loss prevention efforts and asset protection.
• Lead and develop Store Associates under the Store Manager.
• Maintain clean, organized sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and associates.
